This historical villa is centuries old. Originally it used to be a castle, which has been extensively renovated several times by the many owners it had.
In the 1770’s the front of the villa was reconstructed in a neoclassical style and the former Italian garden was replaced by an English garden. In the 1930’s the villa was sold to a court who renovated the villa with lots of plaster and beautiful frescoes, which you can still see today. Around the 1960’s it was sold to a company which clearly didn’t care about the villa and left it abandoned.
After decades of abandonment, the municipality is now interested in buying the villa to restore it and make it a place for the community.
