Château Pentagon

Château Pentagon is a French château, built in the 14th century with various parts being added until the 17th century. During renovations the facades were redecorated in neo-Gothic style giving the château its current appearance.

When entering the premises I was afraid to run into the owner which isn’t too happy with unwanted visitors (based on the many negative reviews of the nearby manor). Walking down the forest towards the château I came across multiple signs telling me I’m on private property and warning for the dog. Carefully I continued my journey and I got the first glimpse of the magnificent château.

The exterior and location of the castle are breathtaking. An open door gave me access to the château and made sure I was out of sight. Although it didn’t made me feel safe because this was the only entrance and exit. The the upper floors were quite empty unfortunately and the ground floor (with beautiful ceilings and fireplaces) was filled with junk. Some pallets and construction material made it look like a renovation was planned or started some time ago, but the big layer of dust on it told me it must have been a while back.

Check out these other beautiful châteaux!
